The Christmas Tag

As it is less than 5 days until Christmas, I feel that now is the perfect time to take part in The Christmas Tag. I have done a similar tag to this on YouTube, but the blogger one has slightly different questions.

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie(s)?
I haven't seen too many Christmas movies in my lifetime, but my all time favourite is Elf. Before watching that film I expected it to be rubbish, but it was on television one Christmassy evening and I decided to watch it. I'm so glad I did as it is now my favourite Christmas movie ever.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Always on Christmas morning. Opening Christmas presents before the day is forbidden in my household. Although this year I have sort of broken that tradition. But overall I feel that gifts are for the day, not before.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
My favourite Christmas memory is from when I was very young, in the times where I used to get many presents. I had received so many toys and was the happiest child ever. I miss the magical feeling of Christmas as a child.

4. Favourite festive food?
It has to be the roast dinner, doesn't it? I always love to have beef and gammon for Christmas dinner. Not to forget all the trimmings of pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, yorkshire puddings, and all the rest.

5. Favourite Christmas gift?
When I was a kid, for one Christmas my parents bought my brother and I bicycles. It was my first proper bike and I loved it. The surprise and joy of seeing a bicycle next to the Christmas tree is a truly special feeling that I will cherish. That particular gift also reminds me of some funny memories. When I first got on that bike I rode it straight under a reversing car, and my brother rode his straight into a neighbours moving car. We were both unhurt and at the time it wasn't very nice, but it is a very funny memory to look back on now.

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
The scent of Christmas dinner cooking! Nothing smells better on Christmas day than that. It makes me feel even more festive.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
For Christmas Eve I love to spend it with my family. We have a few drinks, watch some movies, and have quality family time together.

8. What tops your tree?
I only moved away from home a few years ago, and so the thing that tops my tree is a star which my mum got me when I was younger to top my little tree she had bought me for my bedroom. One day I may buy a fairy for the top, but for now I like my star.

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I have sat thinking about this one for a very long time, and can't remember anything crazy, wild or extravagant that I have asked for. All I remember is being like any other kid asking for lots of toys.

10. What is the best part about Christmas for you?
I love spending time with my family. I get on really well with my parents and brother, and we all love to spend the time together at Christmas. It is also nice now to have Daniel around me and my family at this special time of year. Also, the food. My mum cooks the best Christmas dinner ever and I always look forward to it.

I really enjoyed answering these questions, and it has put me in such a Christmassy mood! Not long now. I hope you all have a great Christmas. And if you do not celebrate Christmas, then have a wonderful week.
