Autumn Leaves & Cold Weather

The leaves have fallen, your breath is visible, and the frost is settling on the ground. That's right, Autumn is finally here. I generally don't like the colder weather, but I do love the colours and freshness of Autumn.
I find it a little odd this year though, that we had the warmest Halloween on record, followed by a Guy Fawkes night that is just as cold as it normally is. The weather seems very unpredictable at the moment. It does look like Autumn has finally crept in though.
As well as that special feeling of warming up on a cold day, it seems the Christmas feeling is also bringing itself forward. As soon as Halloween is over all the supermarkets replace the spooky themed aisles with baubles, tinsel, and of course Christmas trees. Every year this seems to be the reminder to people that Christmas is on the way, and everyone suddenly decides that they need to start buying presents, gift wrap, cards, etc.
I hate to admit it, but I do already have just a little bit of that Christmas feeling. However, I don't think it will fully sink in until I go to Birmingham Christmas Market in late November.
Going back to the weather though, there are many reports circulating the internet at the moment- some saying it will be the coldest winter in 100 years, and others saying that it won't be the coldest winter. They can't seem to make their mind up. Although there seems to be more trends leaning towards it being a cold one this year. Last year I didn't even need to buy a coat as it stayed fairly warm temperatures for that time of year. I don't think the same can be said for this year though. If it's this cold already with daytime temperatures lucky to reach 10 degrees celsius, I do think it will be a reasonably cold winter.
I hope you all have a wonderful week, and make sure you are wary of cold and icy weather.
